Thursday's Sheridan City Council budget work session focused on recipients of optional one-cent sales tax funds. Eight different non-profits made their presentations before the Council, each giving a little background on the service they provide to the community.
Councilman Alex Lee had several questions for many of the presenters, which he says were questions that needed to be asked.
The fact the the City's sales and use tax revenues continue to be down means that many, if not all of the one-cent recipients will be receiving less funding than what they've requested. The City is proposing a $3.2 million budget for one-cent funds for fiscal year 2012-2013.
