Big Horn, specifically the Big Horn Woman's Club, will be the location for a significant birthday celebration this Sunday, August 22nd. Sheridan Media's Mary Jo Johnson has the story.
With a membership of just under fifty, the Big Horn Woman's Club has been a heartbeat of sorts for the community of Big Horn for the last 100 years. This Sunday, everyone is invited to help the club mark its Centennial. Club secretary, Gwen Turner, outlines the day.
There will also be musical entertainment provided by Jim Niner, Ann Tolstedt Lowe and Andy Lowe, and Too Wet to Plow – Turner says to bring blankets or lawn chairs to comfortably enjoy the music.
Turner discusses what an impact the Big Horn Woman's Club has made on Big Horn over the past ten decades.
And with all that activity has come thousands of great meals. In fact, Turner tells us.
For the birthday party, while there is a small fee for the Indian Taco meal, there is no cost to enjoy everything else this small but mighty community organization will be offering as they mark their first 100 years. It all begins at 11:30 am, this Sunday.
