It's the annual tradition at area schools that brings out all sorts of folks, but especially the parents and grandparents. It's the Christmas concerts and Thursday night, Big Horn Middle School held theirs.
Leading off was the 6th grade band with such favorites as "Up On the Housetop" and "We Wish You a Merry Christmas." Led by Ariel Downing, let's give a listen.
The 7th and 8th graders then took their place on stage in the school auditorium showing what a difference a year makes in musical experience.
Ariel Downing has directed the bands at Big Horn for fourteen years and says every year is different.
The choir took it from there, performing four different songs, three quite traditional and one from Africa which incorporated an array of musical instruments including a South American udu.
Just where do you find an udu in Wyoming? Choir Director Janet Ruleaux explains.
Ruleaux tells us what an udu sounds like.
The Big Horn High School Vocal Concert will be held Tuesday, December 20th, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
