The Johnson County School District One Board of Trustees, at this week's meeting, accepted a bid for flooring replacement in the Buffalo High School Commons area for $52,405 from The Woods in Sheridan.
It was the only bid received on the project, which is a routine maintenance project on the seven year-old high school.
The project is expected to begin in June and be completed before the fall semester.
District Business Manager Matt Ramey also said he and Superintendent Dr. Rod Kessler will be working on the budget for FY 2013-14 in the next few weeks and will keep the board updated as the work progresses.
Ramey also said the district's health insurance looks good again this year for renewal and he explains further.
Ramey also reported that he will have bids to bring to the board in the coming weeks for the installation of a vestibule on Clear Creek Middle School and for new buses to replace some aging ones in the district's fleet.
