State Legislator, Rosie Berger, has been elected to serve as Speaker Pro Tempore, the third highest position in the state House of Representatives. Berger announced her intention to run for the position earlier this month, saying the House is in need of new leaders to step forward.
Berger had to relinquish her position as Chair of the Joint Appropriations Committee, a position she has had for the past 8 years, in order to accept her new position. She will now serve as the chair of the Corporations, Elections and Political Subdivisions Committee.
Berger serves in Wyoming House District 51, which encompasses Dayton, Parkman, Story, and part of Sheridan.
