St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Buffalo will be having their annual bazaar and bake sale this Saturday, to raise money for a number of worthwhile causes.
Church member Kathy Brus organized this year's event, and she explains where some of the funds will end up.
Brus said the bazaar items for sale are crafts created locally and some fair trade items that have come from all over the world. The money raised through the sale of the items goes directly back to the corner of the world from where it came to help raise the standard of living there.
Also available will be dozens and dozens of cookies to purchase, canned jams and jellies, breads, buns and brownies, all made locally by the ladies of the church.
And if you happen to drop by around lunchtime, sample a bowl of homemade soup, a roll and a slice of pie. Lunch will be served from 11 am to 2 pm, and the cost is a reasonable $5.
During the bazaar and bake sale, which will run from 9am to 2pm, they will be selling raffle tickets for a chance to win $100 in groceries from DJ's Thriftway.
The church is located at 615 N. Burritt Street.
