Absentee balloting for this year's Primary Election will begin this Thursday, July 8th. Sheridan County Election Supervisor Brenda Miech says there are a couple of ways to obtain an absentee ballot if you can't be present at the polls on Election Day.
You can pick up your absentee ballot at the Sheridan County Election Office during regular business hours on the 2nd floor of the new Sheridan County Courthouse. Miech points out that you still have several weeks to register for the Primary.
Miech said that a photo ID is required when registering for the Election. Residents of Clearmont, Dayton, and Ranchester can register with their Town Clerk. This year's Primary Election will be August 17th, with the General Election on November 2nd.
