Wyoming State Superintendent of Public Instruction Cindy Hill is spending a couple of days in Sheridan as part of the Wyoming Department of Education's 3+8 Teacher to Teacher initiative that focuses on improving literacy.
Hill explains what spearheaded this unique initiative.
The 3+8 Teacher to Teacher initiative takes place after school on Fridays and throughout the day on Saturdays. Hill said that there are eighteen different locations around the state that take part in the initiative, Sheridan included.
Hill also commented on the U.S. Department of Education naming Big Horn High School as a Blue Ribbon School.
