While “Old Man Winter” tried to raise his ugly head with blustery north winds, even he couldn't deter the crowds that filled Main Street during the 16th annual Christmas Stroll in historic downtown Sheridan Friday night.
Piper Stevie, a senior at Sheridan High School, says The Stroll is one of Sheridan's most attended social events.
There was something for everyone: free hot chocolate and chili, Christmas music, visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus and trolley rides along with rides on horse drawn wagons.
Laurie Linhart says The Stroll is all about building community.
Natalie Tran is newly arrived from Washington D.C. and this was her first Stroll.
What enticed most folks out was the chance to win prizes by matching the number posted in stores with the number found on individually purchased Christmas Stroll buttons.
No worries if you didn't get to all the stores, prizes can be claimed by December 24th.
