I honesty say that teens should stay in high school until they get a diploma! Once they get that diploma then they dont have to go back to high school and they dont have to worry about it anymore and they can move on to the next level which is college. Which is better: High school or College! College is way better because you get more freedom and there is alot more stuff to do.
Perhaps we need to drop the way we fund schools for days attended, and instead fund them on how many kids graduate and can pass a basic knowledge test?
No it should not, in fact perhaps we need to do the opposite which is to get kids who don't want to be in school out of the system. Seems foolish as a country to pour money into kids who don't want to be there.
No, the state law should not be changed so that students are required to stay in school until age 18 or until they get a H. S. diploma.
We don't want kids in school who dont want to be there. This increases class sizes, and these kids tend to distract the kids that are there to learn..
This is a blanket policy that should not apply to all high school students. I graduated from high school at age 17. I had enough credits my senior year that I did not have to attend the last semester and had a 3.2 gpa. I went to work. Had I been in school I would have been in bored to death and gotten in trouble and my gpa would have gone down.
I didn't even go to graduation ceremonies as I was working in Texas. My life experences during this time were far more valuable than the additional semester of schooling.
Why would you want to change this into a bigger lame brain law? Social promotion is already out w/NCLB? The unmotivated are already kept in skool to long! Why are they allowed to bring down the motivated? They should start up the draft for the unmotivated and make them go out and learn a little work ethic via the CCC of the 30's Our country needs the help and these unmotivated need the motivation!
please change my what ever from I hear voices to SAY WHAT! hope you can do this for thanks.
