Visitor's Center Coming to Ranchester

Posted in

A year and a half after the Town of Ranchester was awarded a Wyoming Business Council Community Development Block Grant in May 2010, an additional Business Ready Communities grant and some matching funds provided by the Town of Ranchester, the Ranchester Entryway Rehabilitation Plan is well underway. Part of that plan is the construction of a visitor's center - seen here - with a parking lot on the north side. KWN Construction from Sheridan is in charge of the construction at 222 Historic U.S. 14 in Ranchester - just west across the street from the public library. The visitor center which should be completed by Spring will provide visitor information about the area and contain a restroom. This project will lead into future phases for Ranchester's downtown including the construction of retail space and additional parking. On the south side of the highway as you past the new visitor's center you'll notice that two of the blighted properties have been leveled and await these future development plans.
