Truck Strikes Wheelchair

Sheridan Fire-Rescue responded to a call involving a Dodge pickup and a person in a wheelchair Wednesday evening. The person in the wheelchair was attempting to cross Loucks when a truck turning right off of Main St. struck that person. The wheelchair and the victim were dragged several feet before the truck was stopped. The victim in the wheelchair was transported to Memorial Hospital. The victims condition is unknown.

The accident occurred at approximately 7:20 Wednesday evening. Sheridan Fire-Rescue responded with an Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance and an Engine company.

The victims name is not being released by Sheridan Fire-Rescue due to patient confidentiality requirements.
