As 2011 approached the halfway point the Sheridan area experienced the hottest temperature to date on Wednesday. The 97 degrees recorded at 2:53 pm was just 7 degrees short of the record 104 set in 2002. A few hours later that same hot sun treated residents along Jack Drive near its juncture with the Bird Farm Road (County Road 28), just east of Big Horn, with this tremendous view looking north over Sheridan. Thursday's high is expected to only reach 79 with a 50% chance of precipitation.
