The 7 - 0 Sheridan Lady Broncs are now 8 - 0 after Saturday's victory over the visiting Cheyenne Central Lady Indians. Central got on the board first at the 30 minute mark of the 1st period but then at the 25 minute mark of the first half the synchronized pair of Sheridan's Rickie Ryan and Central's Alysha Honacker head toward the ball. Ryan gets to the ball first and with her right foot kicks the ball into the left corner of the goal to tie the game at 1 - 1. Later Ryan would add another along with goals by Erica O'Dell and Noelle Golinvaux for a final score of 4 - 2. Sheridan starts spring break on Monday so several of the starters will not be at the non-conference game against Buffalo on Tuesday, April 3rd. The Lady Broncs play at 4:00 pm and the Broncs play at 6:00 pm - both games are at home on Scott Field.
Scroll down to see "the goal that wasn't" as Rickie Ryan takes the ball toward the goal, passes to Sydney Waggener and back to Ryan. Then Ryan heads toward the goalie, Kacee Walsh, but at the last moment passes to Noelle Golinvaux on the right. Golinvaux puts the ball in the center back of the goal. The celebration starts only to have the goal nullified because the Lady Broncs were offside - but wow what a display of awareness and teamwork.
