Sheridan Remembers

Posted in

Firefighter Jay Hasquet, Firefighter Ben Weaver and Captain Bret Ketchem, from the Sheridan Area Rural Fire Protection District, are joined by Jay's son Jacob as they observe a moment of silence behind two artifacts salvaged from the World Trade Center after the tragedy of September 11, 2001. The two artifacts from the World Trade Center were recently received and unveiled during the time of remembrance ceremony Sunday morning held at the Sheridan Fire Station. Future plans hope to have a bronze statue of Captain Edward Green mounted near the World Trade Center artifacts. The statue and artifacts would also honor Sheridan's only line of duty death - that of Chief Fred Tossie in 1929. Check back later for more photos.
