Romeo & Juliet with a Modern Look & Twist (updated)

Posted in

Thursday evening the William Shakespeare Play "Romeo & Juliet" opened the first of four performances presented by the Sheridan High School Drama Club in the Sue Henry Auditorium at Sheridan High School. Director Aaron Odom put forth a more modern look in this performance by telling the story as if teenagers of today were placed in the middle of the feud between the Montagues and the Capulets. And through it all Romeo played by Dalen O'Connell and Juliet played by Mariah Olesen lived and eventually died before the eyes of an appreciative audience. Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:30 pm while Sunday's matinee is at 2:00 pm - tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for students.
