Paving underway at the bottom of Sparrow Hawk Hill

Intermountain Construction and Materials (ICM) of Gillette on Wednesday morning was paving the widened shoulders of West Loucks Street at the bottom of Sparrow Hawk Hill. In addition to the widening of the road shoulders from 6 to 10-feet turn lanes are being added at both the Sparrow Hawk and Osprey Boulevard intersections. The bicycle/pedestrian lane, that is also part of this work project, and runs from Sparrow Hawk Road to Vale Street on the north side of Loucks Street is nearly complete. The planned completion date of this $1.3 million project is September 30th so the minimal traffic delays as flaggers control one-traffic through the active parts of the projects will soon be a thing of the past.
