During the Sheridan City Council meeting on Tuesday evening was approval of Resolution 41-11, an application for a clean water state revolving fund loan in the amount of $156,465 for paving of the access road and parking area at the Sam Mavrakis Fishing Pond. This paving item was ranked 25th, right behind the Sheridan County Fairgrounds Storm Drainage that was ranked 24th, on the FY 2012 Clean Water State Revolving Fund - Wastewater Treatment System Priority List. This means that soon the access road to Mavrakis Pond off of West 8th Street and the parking lot seen in the center of this photo will be paved - an enhancement welcomed by all who view, use and walk around this beautiful area.
