National Day of the Cowboy

This photo of Rob, from Eatons' Ranch, taken during Eatons' annual horse drive through Sheridan on May 27th serves as a reminder that July 28, 2012 marks the Eighth Annual National Day of the Cowboy (NDOC). The Wyoming Legislature permanently passed the NDOC on March 13, 2012, thanks to the efforts of volunteer Susan Thomas. News on the NDOC web site states the following regarding Wyoming: "Susan Thomas - We are proud to have Mrs. Thomas support the NCOC in Wyoming. Susan is the widow of the late WY U. S. Senator, Craig Thomas, The original sponsor of the Cowboy Resolution. The NDOC Resolution passed in PERPETUITY March 13, 2012. Thank you Wyoming!" Among the five esteemed recipients of the 2012 Cowboy Keeper Award are two from Wyoming: Chris LeDoux and Susan Thomas.
