Just last Saturday I shot photos of a 2012 Chevrolet Volt (http://www.sheridanmedia.com/pic...) that is powered by electricity. Little did I know then that less than a mile away is this 65-year older 1947 International Pickup that is also electrified. Leave it to a mechanic, some duct tape, 2000 lights and some spare time and "Behold." The mechanic is Jeremy Piatt who runs Piatt's 24/7 Road Side Service and Repair at the corner of 9th Street and Gould in Sheridan. Jeremy has this burnt-out '47 International that he has sand blasted and primed in preparation for a second life which he decided to decorate for Christmas. What you see here and below is the result so far.
Leave it to a mechanic, some duct tape, 2000 lights and some spare time - then "Behold."
How low and bright can you go?
What looks like an illuminated star on Jeremy's tree top is and isn't. There is a star on the top which wasn't working but the street light on the corner was - behold the magic of moving and then taking the photo
Alone in the dark
On the door of the '47 International you can see what a mechanic and his duct tape can do
Not much to write home about on the inside except that it is air conditioned
Thought you might like to see how the lights are applied - leave it to a mechanic, his duct tape and 2000 lights
One more look - as for the tree in the bed it is sort-of a real tree -discarded real tree branches stuck into holes of a piece of tubing
