Our hats go off to the Sheridan High School Class of 2011 - as did theirs at 2:22 pm on Sunday at the conclusion of graduation ceremonies inside the main gym. The program started at 1:00 pm with the Processional "Fanfare and Processional" by the 9-11 Grade Band, followed by the "Star Spangled Banner" which was sung by Spectrum and then the welcome address by Principal Dirlene Wheeler. It was then on to the Senior Addresses by Wynton Grant, Salutatorian, and Victoria Gill, Valedictorian, before social studies teacher and boys soccer coach Kevin Rizer gave the speaker's presentation. Spectrum than sang "In My Life" followed by the presentation of 235 diplomas before Dirlene Wheeler "Presented the Senior Class of 2011" which prompted the tossing of the mortarboards into the air. A video re-broadcast of the graduation ceremony can be seen on Channel 14 on Friday, June 3rd at 2:00 pm and on Saturday, June 4th at 10:00 am.
