Friday evening and again Saturday afternoon, local kids from kindergarten through high school presented the Missoula Children's Theatre's production of King Arthur's Quest at the Buffalo High School Auditorium.
The local kids involved in the play auditioned Monday and spent the week rehearsing each night after school in preparation for the two performances.
According to the program handed out at the performances, more than 65,000 youngsters will participate in the MCT International Tour project in 1,300 communities in all 50 states, 3 Canadian territories and 5 provinces as well as in 16 countries this year alone. Thirty-six different MCT actor/director teams that put the productions on will be touring to put each performance on.
The production was sponsored by the Johnson County Arts and Humanities Council, with help from the National Endowment For The Arts, and the Montana and Wyoming Arts Councils.
Next year's Johnson County MCT production will be in Kaycee.
