Hats Off to those who Drive Champions

Our hats go off to the outstanding crew of Sheridan County School District No. 2 drivers who braved the elements and safely transported the Championship Football team, band and pep supporters to and from Laramie. Six buses made the roundtrip that included a detour through Cheyenne - a departure from the normal route through Medicine Bow on the way home. On the trip home via Cheyenne high winds and blowing snow conditions were encountered and as I understand it one deer met its fate and some damage occurred to the emergency roof hatches on a bus or two because of the high wind that can and did "suck" several open that caused minor damage. From Cheyenne to Sheridan the Championship Football Team led the way with the other busses following, but spread out in a twenty mile convoy until they reached Sheridan around 2:45 am Sunday morning.
