Fiber Art Galore

"Fiber Arts 14" has taken over the entire mezzanine for the 14th Annual October show being held at the Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library. Over 75 entries from mostly local artists are on display until the end of October. You are welcome to view the bears, but leave your gun at home, in Marcy Yentzer's "Bear's at Play" - a hand stitched and hand quilted work of art that hangs on the circular stair case railing. Or you can view nearly a year's worth of labor of love in "Ladies of the Sea" by Susan H. Garman and quilted by Judy Peck. From the Viking ship "The Oseberg" circa 875 to "The Bluenose" of 1929 the hand quilted and hand applique quilt is a nautical lover's feast to behold. Did I mention there are over 70 additional entries I didn't mention? Viewing is during normal library hours: Monday - Thursday 9am - 9pm, Friday & Saturday 9am - 5pm and Sunday 1-5pm.

Everyone is invited to the Artists' Reception on Thursday, October 6th from 5:00 - 7:30 pm.
