An Evening with Pete & Al Simpson

Posted in

Wednesday evening a full house at the WYO Theater enjoyed the Wyoming Wit & Witticism of Pete and Al Simpson. For two hours the two brothers shared their love of the West and told stories about growing up and sang - yes they even sang three songs, like "Detour." They reminisced about life in Sheridan from years ago, like sliding down Linden Hill in the winter on spades with the handles shortened by the Linden School custodians (you sat on the shovel holding the handle in front of you) and on cardboard when there wasn't any snow. Al then mentioned the walk/steps that led down the hill to Linden School sayUing, "I wonder what ever happen to those?" The audience helped out with, "They're still there" to which the Simpons in unison responded, "They're still there?" A video of Pete & Al singing the original Wyoming fight song "Come on, Wyoming!" is now on YouTube along with a 13-minute excerpt from their appearance on the stage. You can access them from Sheridan Media's homepage.
