Looks like Labor Day is drawing near as the flags are up and flying, Don Kings Days is on the horizon, the last polo matches of the season (The Henry Burgess Memorial Cup & Don King Days Cup) are on tap and the Hang Gliders Fly-In will take place at Sand Turn in the Big Horn Mountains.

Here is the Don King Days schedule for Sunday & Monday: ‘Old West’ rodeo events, featuring match bronc riding, steer roping, wild cow milking, and end-of-season polo. The Big Horn Equestrian Center provides open space & no fence setting in the majestic mountain foothills south of Sheridan. The family-oriented celebration honors renown saddlemaker, Don King. The Sunday schedule: 11:00 am, polo (Henry Burgess Memorial Cup); 12:00 noon, Calcutta (for all events); 1:00 pm, Wyoming Steer roping Finals, Round 1; 2:00 pm, Don King Days Matched Saddle Bronc Riding, Round 1; 3:00 pm, Wyoming Steer Roping Finals, Round 2; 4:00 pm, Don King Days Matched Saddle Bronc Riding, Round 2; 5:00 pm, live music by Sam Munsick. The Monday schedule: 11:00 am, polo (Don King Days Cup); 12:30 pm, Wyoming Steer Roping Finals, Round 3; 1:30 pm, Don King Days Matched Saddle Bronc Riding, Round 3; 2:30 pm, Wyoming Steer Roping Finals, Final Round; 3:30 pm, Don King Days Match Saddle Bronc Riding, Final Round; 4:30 pm, awards ceremony.
