Hang gliders and even a parasailer or two gathered at Sand Turn on the Big Horn Mountains all Labor Day weekend, entertaining small crowds as they flew off toward Dayton, Ranchester and Parkman.
During the best flights gliders reached heights of up to approximately 13,000 feet, said glider Jim Bowman of Parkman.
Labor Day is one of the two biggest weekends for hang gliders at Sand Turn, the other being Memorial Day. They could be seen jumping off Sand Turn all weekend as weather cooperated all three days.
