Closing the "Till" for the Last Time

On Friday, Nancy Steel closed her till for the last time at First Federal Savings Bank in Sheridan after over 38-years of dedicated service to the bank and its customers. On the right, long time bank president George Gligorea and his wife Phebe dropped by to visit with Nancy during the 10:00 am - 2:00 pm open house/bank where they were seen viewing and reminiscing over "Nancy's Photo Board." The board starts in the upper left corner with "from the beginning" and ends in the lower right with "to the new beginning." On the tables with the snacks, drinks, cards and guest book were several typewritten pages containing the names of all those who had worked with Nancy in the bank over the years from 1974 to present - would you believe 169 names? Imagine if they had started with her first, briefer stint as a bank employee back in 1962. Sheridan area residents can only say God Speed as you head off to your mountain cabin and beyond. Enjoy!
