In a high noon showdown between the Sheridan Broncs and the Laramie Plainsmen - the team the Broncs beat for the State Championship last spring - the Plainsmen had a great first 25 minutes scoring two goals. After that a "whole lot of Bronc offense" just couldn't score. This photo sequence is but one example as, 1) Hunter Reece kicks, 2) goalie Jonathan Miller blocks, 3) ball bounces, 4) Lucas Wollenman runs toward the ball, 5) setting up the kick, 6) the kick, 7) the follow through, and 8) the ball missing slightly to the left. As a result the Broncs gave up their first two goals of the season and suffered their first loss. After an away Junior Varsity game at Gillette on Tuesday the Broncs head south to face, first the Cheyenne East Thunderbirds on Friday and then the Cheyenne Central Indians on Saturday to close out play for March.
Scroll down to view a 19-photo sequence that starts with pass from #1 Sam LeTempt that is headed by Jake Moore to Riley Ryan and defended by Plainsmen Dillon Heinrich. Notice the concentration and impact involved in the game of soccer and there was plenty of that in Saturday's game.
