Beware of the elusive "Wood Spirit"

Attendees of the Concert in the Park on Tuesday evening should be on the alert for this "Wood Spirit" that has been seen lurking in the wooded area northeast of the Bandshell as it takes on form. The "Wood Spirit" is the latest work of art by David Peterson who has been busy with his chainsaws this summer in Kendrick Park. David, assures me the spirit is not a self-portrait, and that it is a work in progress. When it is finished the spirit's nose will be longer and not as flat. In wood carving that means all of the rest of face has to be cut away in order for the nose to grow. Oh yes, tonight it's our own Sheridan Concert Band playing in the Bandshell.

Here is another of David's work - A fish jumping out of the lilies that are located across the road.
