Better Luck Next Time

The Tongue River Eagles football team hadn't played a game in front of their home crowd since the 2010 season, as there weren't enough players to field a team last year. That all changed Friday, as the Eagles hosted Glenrock for their home opener. While the final score of 39-10 wasn't exactly the outcome that the team, or the fans would have liked, spirits remained high after the loss, as football was once again back in Tongue River.

Keenan Gross accounted for all of the Eagles points with a touchdown run, a field goal and an extra point. Tongue River's defense had trouble all afternoon with the rushing attack of Glenrock, as the Herders chalked up 6 touchdowns on the ground. The Eagles will look to get into the win column with a road game against Moorcroft next Friday.
