Beautiful Day for a Walk Through Thone-Rider Park

Monday morning was a beautiful day for a walk beneath the blue sky and among the fallen leaves. And Thorne-Rider Park was just the place to do it. Many Sheridan residents don't realize the vastness of the 57 acre park that was deeded to the City of Sheridan in 1926 by the Kendrick family. The Sheridan Athletic Association, which holds a perpetual lease on the property, maintains the ball fields, while the City of Sheridan and the Sheridan Recreation District cooperatively maintain the rest of the park.
