CHAPS (Children, Horses, and Adults in PartnerShip) rider 4-year old Jace Horn of Sheridan rode into the arena Saturday evening and pulled the winning ticket, for a WYO Rodeo jacket, which he handed to Sheridan WYO Rodeo Board President Zane Garstad. Jace is riding "Spot" and accompanied by Therapeutic riding instructor Dr. Jessica Ricchio and Volunteer Jason Ricchio. The WYO Rodeo board invites CHAPS to participate each year and the Gold Buckle Club awards a $3000 scholarship to the CHAPS program. "Spot," the horse, aka the "Equine Chairman," has been with CHAPS the longest of the four-legged staff and was donated by Marion Niedringhaus and the T-T Ranch in 2006. Oh yes, the winning ticket was held by Chuck Wold from Banner, Wyoming who will perhaps be wearing the coveted WYO Rodeo jacket the next time you see him.
