Mass of Christian burial for Tommy Smith, 30 year old Buffalo man who passed away suddenly following an accident at Lake DeSmet, will be celebrated Friday , July 15th at 10:00 a.m. from the St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Buffalo with Father Pete Johnson as celebrant. A vigil service and sharing of memories in conjunction with reciting of the Rosary, will be held Thursday evening at 6:00 p.m., from the Catholic Church. Visitation will be held from the Adams Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Interment will be in Willow Grove Cemetery with graveside services to follow the mass. Donations in Tom’s memory may be made to the Buffalo Youth Soccer in care of the Adams Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo.

Thomas Martin Smith was born on September 25, 1980 in Buffalo, Wyoming to Elizabeth and Barry Smith. Tom grew up and went to school in Buffalo and graduated from Buffalo High School with the class of 1999. Tom was an avid sports fan and excellent soccer player. After high school he attended the University of Wyoming for one year where he was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity. He left college and worked for Broken Horn services for a couple of years before completing his E.M.T. training in 2003. Tom worked summers for the Johnson County Ambulance Service as an E.M.T. for several years. He enrolled in the Nursing School at Laramie County Community College in 2005 and completed his R.N. Training in 2007. After completing his degree Tom worked for the ambulance for a year before taking a job as an RN with the Johnson County Health Care Center in July of 2008. Tom continued living and working in Buffalo until the time of his death.

He was an avid outdoorsman and loved snow machining, riding motorcycles, lake sports, being with his friends, and spending time in the mountains. He coached youth soccer in Buffalo for many years. Tommy was loved and respected by everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his mother Elizabeth Camino of Buffalo; his father and step-mother Barry and Jean Smith of Kingsport, Tennessee; two brothers Sean Smith and his wife Stacy of Torrington, Wyoming and Patrick Smith and his wife Sandy of Cheyenne; three sisters, Michelle Covert and her husband Matt of Buffalo, Amy Steiner and her husband Von of Olathe, Kansas and Bylle Jo Price and her husband Jon of Kingsport, Tennessee, step brother David McCarthy; Uncle Tommy was adored by 8 nephews 5 nieces and will be missed by his entire family and a great host of friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents and one sister Jana Smith.
