Funeral services for Ted Craft, 59 year old Buffalo man who passed away Sunday afternoon at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, will be held Saturday, October 13th at 2:00 p.m. from the Adams Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo, with Pastor William Dunlop officiating. A private family interment will be in the Lone Pine Cemetery in Lone Pine, Montana. Donations in Mr. Ted’s memory may be made to an Educational Fund for his grandchildren in the name of the Ted Craft Memorial.
Theodore John Craft was born on August 21, 1953 in Belle Forche, South Dakota to Raymond and Hazel Craft. He moved with his family to Thompson Falls, Montana where he attended grade school. The family later moved to Hot Springs, Montana where Ted attended Hot Springs High School. In the early seventies he served in the U.S. Army at Ft. Knox. He was married on September 30, 1977 in Buffalo to Joyce Pehringer and they made their home in Buffalo where Ted was a logger and truck driver. They moved to Trout Creek, Montana in 1996 where Ted worked in the woods. In the fall of 2004 they moved to Buffalo where Ted drove truck for several years. Ill health forced him to retire in 2010 and they continued living in Buffalo until the time of his death.
Ted was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He especially loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife Joyce of Buffalo; one son Theodore Craft of Buffalo; two daughters, Bobbie Craft of Buffalo and Stephanie Hyvonen and her husband Jeff of Red Lodge, Montana; his mother Hazel Craft of hot Springs, Montana; four sisters, Linda Keirn and her husband Gary of Trout Creek, Montana, Patty Garcia and her husband Pete of Homedale, Idaho, Margaret Leitchman and her husband Mike of Hot Springs, Montana and Barbara Nutter and her husband Bill of Bozeman, Montana, and three grandchildren Nathan, Jeremiah and Lillian Hyvonen all of Red Lodge, Montana. He was preceded in death by his father.
