Frank V. Hill, 77, of Sheridan passed away on Monday, October 24, 2011 at Sheridan Memorial Hospital.

Frank was born on May 9, 1934 in Duluth, MN to parents Frank Victor and Elsie (Jylka) Hill.

He married Signe Hinkkanen in secret fifty seven years ago. He was a graduate of the University of Iowa and a Letterman Swimmer.

Private family interment for Jolene Smith, 80 year old Buffalo woman who passed away Sunday afternoon at the Johnson County Healthcare Center in Buffalo, Wyoming, will be held by her family at a later date.

Donations may be made in Jolene’s name to the Buffalo Senior Center in care of the Adams Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams, Buffalo, WY 82834.

Tamela "Tammy" Jean Morton Ziegler, 48, of Sheridan passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Sheridan Memorial Hospital.

Lynda Rae Morgan passed away at the Sheridan Memorial Hospital on Sunday, October 16th 2011.

On September 7, 1949 in Laramie, WY, John Clayton and Dorthy Belle (Cooper) Morgan welcomed into this world their first child, Lynda Rae.

She graduated from high school in Laramie, WY in 1968. She attended beauty school in Cheyenne and went on to compete for the title of Miss Wyoming.

Alan William Bourne was born on January 16, 1931, to Ruth and Ezra Bourne at the house on 405 Smith St., Sheridan, WY. He graduated in 1948 from Sheridan High School and finished college at Northwestern University in 1952.

He joined the Army graduating from Artillery OCS in 1953. He married Donna Jean Rose in October, 1953 and two weeks later he was in Korea.

Velma Wieditz Theisen Miles, 86, of Sheridan passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at the Sheridan Manor.

Velma was born in Sheridan, WY on October 22, 1924 to Charles and Emma (Grotefeld) Wieditz.

After graduating from Sheridan High School in 1942 she attended business college for two years. Over the years she worked at Brouilettes and Sheridan College as an Administrative Assistant.

Eugene D. Hoiten, 85, of Sheridan, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2011.

Gene was born to Beula (Fugate) Moreland and Lowell G. Hoiten on August 22, 1926, in Correctionville, Iowa.

William "Bud" Rohla, Jr., 82, of Sheridan passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at Westview Health Care Center.

A Rosary for Bud will be held on Friday, November 11, 2011 at 7:00 pm at Kane Funeral Home with Deacon Joe Kristufek officiating.

A private family Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on a later date.

Justin John O’Dell, 23, of Sheridan passed away on Monday, October 17, 2011 at his residence.

Justin was born on December 24, 1987 in Sheridan, WY to parents Shawn and Lisa (King) O’Dell.

Woodrow Wilson Moreland

June 5, 1918 - October 26, 2011

Woodrow Wilson Moreland, age 93 of Big Horn, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2011 in the loving arms of his family at Sheridan Manor in Sheridan, WY.

Funeral services for 83-year-old Charles Olds of Buffalo, who passed away Tuesday, October 11th in Casper, will be held Friday, October 14th, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Buffalo with Father Cliff Moore officiating.

Frank Shurter, Sr., 88, of Hanna, Wyoming, and formerly of Sheridan, Wyoming, died Monday, October 10, 2011 in Sheridan Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Shurter was born July 25, 1923 in Frankfort, Michigan to Heman and Stella (Hiney) Shurter. He grew up in Thomaston, Tulla, and Wakefield. He attended school in Wakefield until he went to work at age 16 to support his mother who had breast cancer.

Private family services will be held for Donna Auer, 76, of Buffalo who passed away quietly Monday morning, October 10th at the Johnson County Health Care Center, surrounded by her family.

Donations in Donna’s memory may be made to the Bread of Life Food Pantry in care of the Adams Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo.

Elaine Avery, 87, of Sheridan, WY passed away Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Sheridan Memorial Hospital.

Elaine was born in Belden, ND on August 10, 1924 to Ina and Oscar Lofgren. She graduated from Cook (MN) High School in 1942, the University of Minnesota in 1946 and earned a Master’s Degree from the University of Wyoming in 1962. She was married to William Avery in 1950.

Betty J. (Elkins) Horsley passed away October 8, 2011, at the Billings Clinic Hospital in Billings, Montana after complications of open heart surgery.

She was born February 7, 1934, to parents Benjamin and Amy Sophia in Terre Haute, Indiana. Betty married Virgil P. Horsley June 30, 1951. They had one daughter, Brenda. They moved west to Montana in 1955 and then to Sheridan, Wyoming.
