Funeral services for Rodney Allen Hudson, 69 year old Buffalo man who passed away Saturday at the Johnson County Medical Center, will be held Friday, March 2nd at 10:00 a.m. from the Buffalo Wesleyan Church in Buffalo with Pastor William Dunlap officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. from Adams Funeral Home chapel in Buffalo. Burial will be in Willow Grove Cemetery. Donations in Mr. Hudson’s memory may be made to the Susie Bowling Lawrence Hospice or the Buffalo Wesleyan Church in care of the Adams Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo.
Rodney Allen Hudson was born on December 28, 1942 in Hot Springs, South Dakota, to Louis and Fern Hudson. He lived on the Hudson family homestead near Edgemont, South Dakota for about three months before moving to Igloo, South Dakota where he later attended school and graduated from high school in 1961. After high school he moved to Denver, Colorado where he met and later married Ilene Hoselton in 1968. That union produced one daughter, Wanda Marie. Rod later met and married Mary Lou Raymond Anderson in 1972. They lived and worked in Denver until 1977 when they moved to Buffalo, Wyoming. Rod worked for the Johnson County School District #1 at the high School until December of 1985 when a fall from a roof resulted in permanent disability.
Rod enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, photography and the Big Horn Mountains. Rod was a long time friend and supporter of the Buffalo Wesleyan Church and most of all he loved and enjoyed serving his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Rod is survived by one daughter Wanda Marie Frerichs of Commerce City, Colorado; one brother Louis D. Hudson of commerce City, Colorado; two sisters, Karmen Peterson of Sheridan, Wyoming, and Sharon Patton of Rapid City, South Dakota; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and one brother.
