Graveside funeral services for Robert Cameron, 77 year old Buffalo man who passed away Saturday at the V.A. Medical Center in Sheridan, will be held Monday, August 12th at 10:00 a.m. in Willow Grove Cemetery with Pastor Clay Alexander officiating. Visitation will be held from the Harness Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Donations in Mr. Cameron’s memory may be made to the Johnson County Y.M.C.A. in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo.
Robert Jacob Cameron was born on May 11, 1936 in Washoe, Montana, to Jacob and Mary Cameron. The town of Washoe is now a ghost town near Red Lodge. Robert went to school in Montana and later moved to Greybull, Wyoming with his family. After high school Robert joined the U.S. Army and served from December of 1958 until December of 1960. After the military he returned to Wyoming where he worked at various jobs around the state. He settled in Buffalo where he worked different jobs including working for the Johnson County Y.M.C.A. He became a resident of the Veteran’s Home of Wyoming where he lived until the time of his death.
A quite gentleman, Bob was liked by all who met him. He especially liked the walks he took at the Veteran’s Home.
