Funeral services for Pat Jarrard, 80 year old Kaycee woman who passed away Friday at the Central Wyoming Hospice in Casper, will be held Thursday, October 7th at 2:00 p.m. in the Harold Jarrard Park Building in Kaycee with Kathleen Jarrard and Charlie Firnekas officiating. Visitation will be held from the Adams Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00p.m. Burial will be in the Kaycee Cemetery with graveside services to follow the funeral. Donations in Pat’s memory may be made to the Hoof Prints of the Past Museum in care of the Adams Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo.
Patricia Anne Jarrard was born on May 7, 1930 in Casper, Wyoming to Waugh and Madeline (Davis) Murphy. She moved with her family as a young child to Kingsburg, California where she grew up and went to school. She graduated from Kingsburg High School and attended college for one year in Fresno. She came back to Wyoming for a summer to cook for her uncle on the TTT Ranch, where she met Harold Jarrard. Pat and Harold were married in July of 1952 in Modesto, California and they made their home west of Casper where they worked on the Ben Roberts Ranch. They moved to Buffalo where they lived for a while before moving to the J Bar U ranch west of Kaycee. In 1960 they moved to the family ranch west of Kaycee where they lived until the time of her death.
Pat was a wonderful mother and grandmother, she was a good cook and a beautiful seamstress. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband Harold of Kaycee; five sons, Sonny Jarrard and his wife Sue of Kaycee, Dick Jarrard and his wife Sharon of Wheatland, Roy Jarrard and his wife Kathleen of Casper, Tommy Jarrard and his wife Linda of Riverton, Wyoming and Murph Jarrard of Las Vegas; one daughter, Tami Jarrard and her husband Neil Johnston of Glenrock, Wyoming; eighteen grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, Madeline Cash and Lindsay Scott, one grandson and one grand daughter.
