Funeral services for Nadine Christensen, 77 year old Buffalo resident who went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 6th 2012 at the Johnson County Health Care Center in Buffalo, will be held Thursday, June 21st at 11:00 a.m. at the Big Horn Baptist Church with Pastor Alexander officiating. Donations in Mrs. Christensen’s memory may be made to the Big Horn Baptist Church in care of the Adams Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo.
Nadine Christensen was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming on April 23, 1934 to Lillie and Estil Wolfe. She married Gene Christensen on June 18, 1950. They lived in Borie, Wyoming before moving to Rock Springs, Wyoming when Gene went to work for the Wyoming Highway Patrol. Nadine and Gene then moved to Sheridan, Wyoming where he continued to work as a patrolman and she went to work for Stevens Fryberger. Over the years they also resided in Laramie and Casper before retiring in Buffalo, Wyoming where she was active in the Big Horn Baptist Church. Nadine enjoyed the Bible, sewing, and gardening.
She is survived by her husband Gene, who she was married to for 61 years; two children: Jim Christensen and his wife Debbie of Spearfish, South Dakota, and Brenda Faler and her husband Dennis of Rock Springs, Wyoming; grandchildren: Aaron Christensen, Brandon Christensen and his wife Julie, Larron Dolence, Naaman Dolence, Leah Faler, Kailee Faler and Evan Faler; nine great grandchildren and her “little white girl dog” Sophie. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, and one grandson.
