Funeral services for Butch (Elmer) Carr, 73 year old Buffalo resident, who passed away early Thursday morning at the RiverStone Health Hospice Services in Billings, Montana, will be held Monday, September 28th at 2:00 p.m. from the Veterans’ Home of Wyoming in Buffalo with Pastor Clay Alexander officiating. Interment will be in Willow Grove Cemetery with graveside services to follow the funeral.

Michael P. Pilcher, 71, of Sheridan, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2015, at the Sheridan Manor Rock Creek Rehabilitation Center.

Walter “Walt” Jay Hodges, 76, of Ranchester passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2015, at the Memorial Hospital of Sheridan.
Walt was born February 16, 1939, in Leyden Lake, CO, to Elmo and Opal Hodges. In 1959, Walt married Judith “Judy” Ann Dale; together they raised four sons; Scott, Ted, Robbie and David. In 2005, they moved to Ranchester, WY.

On the evening of September 22, 2015, Connee passed away quietly in her home in Story, Wyoming. She was being cared for by Dell Haverty, her husband of 62 years and her eldest son Van Vannoy. Connee was 86 years old.
Connee was born in Worland, Wyoming on March 27, 1929, to Buster and Alice Hayes. She was the younger of two daughters.

Funeral services for Mary Trembly, 78 year old Buffalo woman who passed away Friday in Seattle, Washington, will be held Saturday, September 26th at 10:00 a.m. from the United Methodist Church in Buffalo with Reverend KyeongSu Jung officiating. Interment will be held in Willow Grove Cemetery with graveside services to follow the funeral.

Larry G. Routh, 69, of Sheridan, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2015, at the Saddle Ridge Rehabilitation Center.

Larry was born on March 28, 1946, in Daytona Beach, FL, to parents Charles Gene and Donna Lee (Campbell) Routh. Larry attended school in Sheridan prior to enlisting in the Navy, where he served from 1963 to 1967, including two tours in Vietnam.

John Ellis Nield, 92, of Dayton, WY died September 22, 2015. “Jack” as he was known by in his home town of Afton, WY, was the son of Ellis and Ouida Linford Nield, loving husband, of Ilona Budnick Nield, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. John is survived by his wife, and three children, Angela Nield Peppard, (Denny), Johann Nield, (Susan), and Christa Nield Spillane (John).

Funeral services for Jerry Kaufmann, 77 year old Buffalo man who passed away Friday morning at his home north of Buffalo, will be held Friday September 25th at 2:00 p.m. from the Big Horn Baptist Church in Buffalo with Father Doug Wasinger officiating. A private family interment will be held in Willow Grove Cemetery.

John Joseph Culhane, 83, passed away at the Veterans Hospital in Sheridan, WY, after a short battle with Alzheimer's disease. He was born February 21, 1932, in Lebanon, PA, to Thomas and Florence Trumbore Culhane.

Dawson Ray Case, 84, of Ranchester, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2015, at the Sheridan VA.

Ruth E. Morris of Sheridan, Wyoming passed away at Sheridan Manor on September 10, 2015.
She was born in Buffalo, Wyoming to Clarence M. Shaffer and Nellie (Bennick) Shaffer on April
11, 1928.
Ruth married Eldon Green, Sr., August 4, 1946; they had three children, Jaci, Ray and Rick; and
later divorced. On November 25, 1965 Ruth was married to Willis W. Morris; they spent 49

David N. Holwell, age 94, passed away on September 14th at the VA Mountain View Living Center. He was born to David N. and Harriet (Cooksey) Holwell on November 4, 1920, at their ranch on Skull Creek in Weston County, the 7th of 9 children.

William “Bill” Roswadovski, 82, of Sheridan, passed away peacefully after a short illness at his home surrounded by his family on Saturday, September 12, 2015. He was born at the family home on Early Creek near Ranchester, WY on June 30, 1933 to Stanley and Emilia Mildred (Mates) Roswadovski.

Betty Bergner, long time Buffalo resident, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2015 at the age of 96, after a full life. Betty resided in Northern Colorado the past few years. Services will be held on Saturday, September 19th, at 11:00 a.m. from St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Buffalo, WY, with the Rev Doug Wasinger officiating.
