Private family interment for Maxine Allgood, 73 year old Thermopolis woman who passed away late Thursday evening at the Johnson County Health Care Center in Buffalo, Wyoming, will be held by her family in the Thermopolis Cemetery. Donations in Mrs. Allgood’s memory may be made to the Hot Springs Memorial Hospital in care of the Adams Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo.
Maxine Theresa Allgood was born on July 9th, 1937 in Dalton Nebraska to Thomas and Eleanor Kallhoff. She grew up and went to schools in Sidney, Nebraska and graduated from St. Patrick High School in Sidney in 1954. After high school she worked for her father as a bookkeeper. She was married on July 5th, 1955 in Sidney and they made their home in Sidney. In 1966 they moved to Lancaster, California where Maxine continued working as a bookkeeper. In the early 1980’s they moved to Thermopolis, Wyoming where she worked for Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital as a bookkeeper until she retired in 1995. Mr. Allgood passed away two weeks ago on Sept. 21st in Thermopolis and Maxine became ill one week later. She was in the Buffalo Hospital to be near her son.
Maxine was an avid card player and loved spending time with her family. She is survived by four sons, Tim Allgood of Lancaster , California, Burton Allgood and his wife Teresa of Buffalo, Wyoming, Mark Allgood and his wife Jamie of Quartz Hill, California and Bruce Allgood and his wife Greer of Falls Church, Virginia; two daughters Katrina Williams and her husband Kelly of Quartz Hill, California and Monica Takinen and her husband Gene of Tempe, Arizona; two brothers, Thomas Kallhoff of Sidney, Nebraska and __________________________ of ___________________; thirteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband two brothers and one sister.
