Funeral services for Mary Nielsen, 82 year old Buffalo woman who passed away Wednesday at the Amie Holt Care Center in Buffalo, will be held Saturday, July 21, at 11:00 a.m. from the Buffalo Wesleyan Church with Pastor Steven Martin officiating. Interment will be in Willow Grove Cemetery with graveside committal services to follow the funeral. A reception will follow the graveside, at the American Legion Hall in Buffalo. Donations may be made in Mrs. Nielsen’s memory to the St. Francis Animal Shelter in care of the Adams Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams
Mary Stella Nielsen was born on July 17, 1929 in Monarch, Wyoming to Tom and Mary Skurok. She grew up and went to school in Buffalo and graduated from Johnson County High School with the class of 1947. After high school she worked for a while at the Rainbow Café in Buffalo. She was married in 1948 in Buffalo to Gordon Rosenberger and they made their home on the Rosenberger Ranch in Barnum. They were divorced and Mary was married to Ed Harvey in 1953 and they made their home in Buffalo. After their divorce she was married in 1980 to Gene Nielsen and they also lived in Buffalo. Gene passed away in 1993 and Mary continued living in Buffalo until the time of her death. Mary worked for many years for the Thom Family and later for the Crossroads for a number of years. She retired from Buckingham Lumber and spent her retirement years in Buffalo where she lived until the time of her death.

She was a past member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Mary enjoyed gardening and working in her yard. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters, Carol LoGuidice and her husband Carmine of Big Horn and Sandy Muller and her husband Bob of Buffalo; two granddaughters , Kelsie Muller of Laramie, Angela LoGuidice of Big Horn and one grandson, Russell Martin “Marty” Maxwell Jr. of Buffalo. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, seven brothers and two sisters.
