Mary Jacqueline Rasmussen, better known as Jacque, passed away at her home in the early morning of Friday, September 6, 2013. Born on September 13, 1946, she was only sixty six years old. She is survived by her husband, Richard Rasmussen, of Parkman, WY; daughters Carol Schramm (Gilbert) of Newport, OR; and Erica Anderson (Birt) of Laramie WY; father and stepmother Carter and Maxine Nyquist of Sheridan, WY; stepfather and mother Herb and Mary Ellen Brown of Kissimmee, FL; four brothers, Bill, Pat, Mike, Tim Nyquist of Laramie, WY and a sister Dee of Altamonte Springs FL. She is also survived by her step brother Lester Brown of Casper, WY and many nieces and nephews.

Jacque should be remembered by her kind heart, her quick wit and quirky sense of humor, and her ability to solve any problem with the odds and ends she had at her fingertips. She had many artistic talents, loved words and the written language, as well as a finely tuned practical joke. We will miss her skills in cooking and sewing.

Jacque was active in her local church community and involved in the altar guild. She was a home maker most of her married life and was dedicated to her family. She and her husband raised two fantastic daughters and had a real loving relationship for 47 years.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made in her honor to the Sheridan County Dog and Cat Shelter at 84 East Ridge Road, Sheridan, WY or to a charity of your choice.
