Marvene S. Shidler, 80, of Buffalo passed away on Monday, July 9, 2012 at the Sheridan Manor.
Marvene was born on June 9, 1932 to Ione (Mayes) and Marvin Shidler in Edgerton, Wyoming. She was raised in Edgerton/Midwest, Wyoming. Her father, was very interested in the cherry business and purchased land on Flathead Lake in Montana. He built a summer cabin and from early childhood, Marvene spent many summers there.
She graduated from the University of Wyoming and taught elementary school for several years in Wyoming. She and her husband then moved to the Flathead Lake property, where she learned the cherry business and was very active in the East Shore Flathead Lake Community Clubs. She loved the outdoors, horses and western lore of any kind. She was very proud to have been born and raised in the West. She had a wonderful sense of humor that was enjoyed by many in Wyoming and Montana alike. She spent the last years of her life in Buffalo surrounded by friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Wyma Dale, her daughter, Celeste and her good friend, Barney Hoy.
There will be no services for Marvene by her request.
