Marie S. Clayburgh, 73, of Sheridan passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings.
Marie was born to parents Eddie Cravins and Flossie (Scroggins) Shrum in Plainview, TX on November 12, 1938. She met Corky and they were married on March 14, 1970 and spent 42 years together.
Marie enjoyed sewing, being outdoors, liked to travel, reading, crafts, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. She worked as a bus driver and a waitress at times through out her life. She was a member of the Eagles.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Wayland Shrum, half brother, Jim Shrum and half sister, Evelyn. She is survived by her husband Corlies “Corky” Clayburgh, her children; Wayne Clayburgh and Della (Dan) Lick all of Sheridan, WY, Donald Clayburgh of Rapid City, SD, Lee Clayburgh, of Grand Junction, CO and Owen Clayburgh of Pasadena, CA. She also leaves behind her siblings; Joyce Edmonds, Donald (Carolyn) Shrum all of Quanaha, TX and Weldon (Diane) Shrum of Koma, TX along with nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Visitation for Marie will be at 12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m. On Friday, November 9, 2012 at Kane Funeral Home. Services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Kane Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Goodwin officiating. Burial will be in the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.
