Margie was born to Minory Oliver Flyod Johnson and Rachael 'Merle" Scholzen on November 17, 1939, she grew up on a farm in Mobridge, South Dakota. She was a graduate of Mobridge High School. She married Alvin "Whitey" Twite in Pierre, South Dakota in 1958 and they raised four children together here in Sheridan. Margie enjoyed Cooking for and being with her family and friends. She worked for years at the Golden Steer Restraunt for 20 yrs. Then she was the Head Cook At Big Horn School for 13 yrs and retired in 2001 she loved her work and the kids.
She had a great sense of humor, and she had knack of seeing the funny side of inconveniences. She always enjoyed a good joke and she was always positive. She was very generous and Loved people. Margie & Whitey had a love for being out doors, Camping, Fishing, and more Fishing. They enjoyed watching the Sunsets and Sunrises at the Missiouri River at the Oahe Resivior in Mobridge, South Dakota. Whitey and Marge's favorite song is, "Fishing in the Dark" By the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.
Margie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alvin; her
sister Patsy "Pat" Jakeway From Mobridge, and her daughter in law Mary
Twite and Grandson, Andy Twite. She is survived by her son, Patrick
Twite, daughter Susan Oltmanns and her husband, Kevin, and daughter
Jackie Twite, and son William Twite and and his wife, Tena Marie, and
their children (Margie's Grandchildren) Allyssa Arlean and Cory James
Twite all of Sheridan, WY And Marge's siblings Bruce his wife Helen
Johnson of Morris, Il; Ruth and her husband Milton Fischer of Wakpala,
SD; Louise and Richard Glaser of McLaughlin, S D; Florence and Ed Heib
of Gillette, WY; Joany and her husband Martin Erck of Rapid City, SD;
Joe and his wife Laurna Johnson of Mobridge, SD
A viewing will be held at Kane Funeral Home from 10 AM until 6 pm on Tuesday January 13th, 2009. Memorial services will be held at Kane Funeral Home on Wednesday January 14th, 2009 at 10 AM with Mike Garneau officiating. Kane Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorials be made in Margie’s name to 1050 Emerson St, Sheridan WY, 82801.
