Graveside funeral services for Margaret Miller, 74 year old Buffalo woman who passed away quietly at the Johnson County Health Care Center, surrounded by her family, will be held Sunday July 24th at 9:00 a.m. in Willow Grove Cemetery in Buffalo with Pastor Don Paulson officiating. Visitation will be held from the Adams Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Donations in Mrs. Miller’s memory may be made to the St. Francis Animal Shelter in care of the Adams Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo.
Margaret Joan Miller was born on June 6, 1937 in Midwest, Wyoming to Arthur and Marcia Davis. She started school in Midwest and moved with her family to Buffalo when she was 7. She attended Buffalo schools and graduated from Johnson County High School in 1955. After high school she attended Park College in Parkville, Missouri for two years. In 1957 she was married to Ronald Kelly and they made their home in Sheridan and later in Gillette where Mr. Kelly worked for the Highway Department. She was later divorced and in 1971 she was married to John L. Miller and they made their home in Buffalo. Margaret worked in insurance for the Johnson County Hospital, North Wyoming Insurance and for Bob McBride. She retired in 2001 and continued living in Buffalo where she and John spent most of the summer months in the mountains enjoying their cabin and their many friends. Margaret loved animals and spent many days caring for the injured and homeless.
She is survived by her husband John Miller of Buffalo; three sons, Shawn Kelly, Shane Kelly and Shannon Kelly all of Buffalo; three step-daughters, Jan Miller of Cody, Wyoming and Ann Harrod and Bev Decker both of Denver; one brother Dart Davis of Hoquilian, Washington; one sister Nancy Davis of Mesa, Arizona; four granddaughters, three grandsons, three great-granddaughters and one great-grandson, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Nathaniel Kelly.
