Louis “Terry” Penton, 76, of Sheridan, WY died Thursday, August 11, 2011, in Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County.

Terry was born July 12, 1935, in Sheridan to Louis and Lollie (Robinson) Penton.

Terry spent his childhood on the family farm in Sheridan County and has been a lifelong lover of animals, particularly the numerous black labs the family owned, all named “Inky”. Terry lived in Lander during his adulthood before returning to Sheridan in 1990’s. Since 2002, he has made his home with Easter Seals Wyoming where he has shared his love for horses, fire trucks, westerns and the occasional hamburger with his caregivers through the years.

Terry is preceded in death by his parents.

Terry is survived by all those lives he has touched through his spunky personality and kind heart.

Graveside service will be 1:30pm on Monday (Aug. 22nd) in Sheridan Municipal Cemetery with Father Ronald Stolcis officiating. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home.
