Lloyd Alan Brown

Sheridan resident, Lloyd Alan Brown, 59, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at the Sheridan Memorial Hospital..

Lloyd was born on May 25, 1950, in Hot Springs, South Dakota to Violet Marie (Layton) and James W. Brown. He married Kathy (Stender) Brown on April 6, 1968, in Edgemont, S.D. He lived in Pringle S. D. for fourteen years, in Edgemont S.D. for fourteen years, and then in Sheridan, WY for thirty one years. Lloyd worked for the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad as a Conductor for nine years, and an Engineer for twenty three years.

Lloyd loved his family and grandchildren. He loved the Black Hills, and Big Horn Mountains, and loved to hunt and fish, riding his motorcycle and four-wheelers. He enjoyed spending time with friends, the more the merrier, and having fish fries and get togethers. He enjoyed cutting wood and setting by the campfires.

He belonged to the B.L.E., Elks, American Legion, and the Big Horn Mountain Eagles.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, and baby brother, Ronnie.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy, daughters, Wendi Brown, Kristi (Troy) Olson, and Kelli Brown, brother: Cleve (Cynthia) Brown, sister, Sharon Onkka, and four grandchildren, Tazmyn Olson, Triven Olson, Dekken Mayer all of Sheridan, and Tori Launer, of Cheyenne; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be Monday, November 23, 2009, 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Kane Funeral Home. Funeral Services are 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at Kane Funeral Home, with Pastor Doug Goodwin officiating.
